The difference between ankle mobility and core stability for high school baseball players with elbow and shoulder pain원문보기

This study was conducted to provide basic data for a rehabilitation exercise program after injury by comparing and analyzing the difference and correlation between ankle mobility and core stability related to pitching performance according to the presence or absence of upper extremity pain. For this study, 20 baseball players from S high school in Seoul and 16 baseball players who visited the S rehabilitation center in Seoul for rehabilitation purposes, in order to verify the difference in ankle mobility and core stability according to elbow and shoulder pain. 12 athletes (EPG; elbow pain group), 12 athletes with shoulder pain (SPG), and 12 athletes without pain (PFG; painfree group) were classified. AROM(active range of motion) and ankle lunge-angle test were performed to measure ankle mobility, and Y-balance test and sport specific endurance bridge test were performed to evaluate core stability and core muscular endurance. For all data obtained in this study, descriptive statistics (Mean, SD) were calculated using the SPSS/21.0 statistical program for Windows. In order to verify the difference in ankle mobility and core stability between the group with and without pain, an independent sample t-test was used, and one-way ANOVA was performed to confirm the mean difference between the three groups with elbow pain, shoulder pain, and no pain. In addition, Pearson’s correlation analysis was conducted for each group to check if there was any correlation between the measurement results of ankle mobility and core stability. At this time, the significance level of all validations was set to ⍺=.05.
The research results are as follows.
1. As a result of the Ankle-lunge angle test and Ankle AROM measurement performed to evaluate ankle mobility, it was found that the group with elbow and shoulder pain had low ankle mobility, and as a result of the analysis, significant differences were found in all results (p <.05).
2. Similarly, in the Y-balance test and sports specific core endurance test performed to evaluate core stability and muscular endurance, the results of the pain group were found to be low, and a significant difference was found as a result of analysis (p<.05).
3. In the case of tsports specific core endurance test conducted to evaluate core muscular endurance, the difference between EPG and PFG was not significant. However, there was a statistically significant difference between SPG and PFG.
4. The correlation between ankle mobility and core stability was significant in the pain group, but the correlation with core muscular endurance was not significant.
Summarizing the above results, it was confirmed that the ankle mobility and core stability of baseball players with upper extremity pain were low, and it was confirmed that there was a correlation between ankle mobility and core stability. Therefore, based on this, it is judged that it can be helpful in injury prevention or post-injury rehabilitation exercise program planning. In addition, in future studies, it is necessary to set a study period to observe changes in ankle range of motion and core stability, and to devise an efficient exercise plan by examining the correlation.
