Recently, Demand for complex structures with overcrowded reinforcement design and artistic aesthetics to improve safety for concrete structures in construction and civil engineering works that are being built is increasing. There are frequent cases of poor compaction during work due to the increase in the concrete pouring speed. Accordingly, factors that deteriorate the quality of concrete such as surface damage and poor strength are increasing, and practical measures are urgently needed to improve concrete performance and construction efficiency. As a solution to this problem, interest and demand for high fluidity concrete(HFC), which improves workability and construction efficiency when pouring concrete, with super-high-rise and large-sized structures, is continuously increasing. By securing self-compacting properties by exhibiting fluidity and viscosity, HFC can improve construction quality as well as construction efficiency such as labor cost reduction, construction cost reduction, and shortening of construction period due to minimization of concrete compaction work. However, general HFC is the area of high strength concrete(40MPa or more) with a high amount of cement to secure the required fluidity and workability. Since most of the concrete structures currently used have normal strength(18∼35MPa), there is a limit to the practical expansion and practicality of use. Therefore, in order to expand the scope of use of HFC, it is possible to exhibit fluidity and viscosity even in the area of normal strength, and it can be used not only in general buildings but also in special buildings. This is a necessary situation. The most important factor in developing normal strength - high fluidity concrete(NSHFC) is to maximize the dispersibility of the binder by using an optimal chemical admixture and to control material separation and bleeding. As a result, it is possible to improve the physical and chemical performance of existing concrete by improving workability and fluidity due to effective workability increase, securing excellent physical properties at a low water-binder ratio, and reducing costs by optimizing the amount of binder used Polycarboxylate-based superplasticizer(PCE) provides structural properties to HFC and enables high fluidity of concrete by improving problems such as material separation unlike conventional admixtures. In addition, it has the advantage of maintaining the dispersion of cement for a long time in the manufacture of concrete, as well as high water-reducing rate and improved fluidity compared to conventional admixtures, so its use in concrete is rapidly increasing. According to the existing literature, the PCE generates an static repulsion as the carboxyl group adheres to the cement, resulting in the dispersion of the binder, and it is known to maximize dispersion and water reduction by the ether group of the side chain (EO chain) generates a steric hindrance effect. In addition, unlike conventional admixtures, new PCE can be developed due to the changes in the above conditions, so they are continuously being developed. In this study, we develop a PCE that can minimize yield stress while securing plastic viscosity, which is a rheological constant, for high fluidity of concrete in the area of normal strength with a low amount of binder and securing high fluidity due to the high dispersion effect. For the purpose of improving fluidity and material separation resistance, performance evaluation was performed for flow and mechanical properties for practical use of NSHFC by developing and applying a all-in-one polycarboxylate-based superplasticizer(NAPCE) by adding an optimal VMA. This thesis consists of a total of 7 chapters, and the contents of each chapter are as follows. Chapter 1 describes the background and necessity of the study, the purpose and content of the study, and the structure of the thesis. Chapter 2 describes research trends and theoretical considerations on material properties, mechanisms, and analysis methods for HFC in the area of normal strength. Chapter 3 is a step to develop a high-performance water reducing agent suitable for NSHFC. In order to develop a new concept superplasticizer that can minimize the yield stress while securing the plastic viscosity differentiated from the commonly used PCE, the fluidity and rheology of cement paste and adsorption characteristics with cement particles according to the type and combination of raw materials are evaluated. and the optimal superplasticizer suitable for NSHFC. Chapter 4 analyzed and evaluated the slump flow, plastic viscosity, yield stress, and compressive strength of concrete according to the amount used compared to the binder in order to derive the appropriate amount of the selected superplasticizer for NSHFC. In Chapter 5, when the developed superplasticizer and VMA are mixed, the applicability of the VMA mixed all-in-one polycarboxylate-based superplasticizer was reviewed by comparatively evaluating the sedimentation volume and re-stabilization in order to understand the aggregation and separation phenomena according to the combination of VMA. Here, In order to select a NAPCE mixed with a VMA that meets the required performance of NSHFC, the fluidity, rheology and strength characteristics of concrete were analyzed and evaluated. In chapter 6, compares and analyzes fluidity, rheology, mechanical characteristics, durability, microstructure and economic analysis of NSHFC to which a conventionally used PCE and a developed NAPCE with VMA. Chapter 7 summarizes the conclusions of each chapter and describes the final conclusions of the thesis.
