This study proposes a machine learning algorithm to predict orbital elements for various LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellites. The new algorithm uses the two-line element (TLE) data and utilizes the modified equinoctial orbital element as learning parameters. In the algorithm, TLE (Two-Line Element) data are received, and time series (sequence of data arranged at constant time intervals) data are generated through SGP4 (Simplified General Perturbations 4) codes. Based on the analysis of the Lagrange planetary equation, learning elements including the modified equinoctial elements (a,i,f,g,Ω,L) are set. The shape of the data is changed according to the method of time series prediction, and preprocessing is performed for better learning. Then, according to the graph drawn by each learning elements, a learning model is set up to include a LSTM layer or to use ordinary least squares linear regression. By trial and error, hyper-parameters are qualitatively configured to obtain good fit results through loss graphs and early stopping. And quantitatively, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) is minimized to meet the error criterion. As a result of predicting about 8 days of three satellites, good predictions were obtained within 8.2 km position errors. This study showed a new way of orbital prediction by a machine learning and verified that it is possible to predict the future satellite states within the precision of NORAD TLE accuracy. Furthermore, it can be expected to use the predicted orbital data using a machine learning when the TLE data in a long update cycle are absent.
