The Effect of Weight-Lifting Training Related on Performance in Inline Roller Speed Skating This study is to identify the effect of weight-lifting training methods on inline roller speed skarets’ basic fitness factors(muscular endurance, power, agility), specificity fitness factors(Wingate 30" test, 6" test), 1RM(Squat, Dead-lift, Bench-press), and standing start ability for inline roller speed skating. For this purpose, we selected male professional inline roller speed skaters aged 16-18 from high school in C region as subjects. In this report, we make sure to know you that all subjects in this experiment were familiar with and agreed to the content, procedures, and purpose of this study before they participating. For this experiment, subjects conducted a weight-lifting program 3 times a week for 12 weeks. The results of the study were as follows;
First, in basic fitness factors, there were significant differences in muscle endurance, power, and agility.
Second, in specificity fitness factors, both wing-gate test(30 seconds) and power test(6 second) changes showed statistically significant differences.
Third, as a result of the change in 1RM, significant differences were seen.
Fourth, the change in the recording of the skating start intervals between before and after the weight-lifting training, there was no significant difference.
In conclusion, these findings suggest that the 12-week weight training has a positive effect on the fitness factors and inline skating performance required for inline skaters. Therefore, it is thought that these results could be applied to inline roller speed skaters' programs to improve their performance.
