A Phenomenological Approach to Psychological Changes and Post-Return Injury Trauma in Ice Hockey Players원문보기

The purpose of this study is to prove the necessity in the field by analyzing the psychological changes in the rehabilitation process of ice hockey players and the trauma of injury after returning with a phenomenological and qualitative research method. Data were collected through open questionnaires and in-depth interviews for 7 ice hockey players, and analysis was conducted using phenomenological qualitative research methods. The composition of open questionnaires and in-depth interview questions consisted of questions about psychological changes experienced in the rehabilitation process and questions about the phenomenon of injury trauma after returning. There are 4 questions on the open questionnaire, and 15 questions on the interview guideline used in the in-depth interview. In-depth interviews were conducted once in total and the required time was 1 hour, and the results were derived according to the general stage of transcription and phenomenological qualitative analysis, and the phenomenological analysis procedure of Colaizzi (1978). In order to increase the authenticity of the research results, it was conducted in accordance with the specific task procedures to be performed at each stage of expert meetings and phenomenological qualitative research methods. The results obtained in this study are as follows. First, the results derived from psychological changes in the rehabilitation process showed negative psychological factors such as concern about the injured area and the mind that the skills would deteriorate in the early stages of rehabilitation. Second, the results derived from the post-return stage showed negative psychological factors such as anxiety, anxiety, and physical fights, shrinking, anxious, difficulty in performing skills, and declining skills when faced with extreme situations during the game. In addition, players were trying to overcome the situation in various ways to overcome these negative psychological factors on their own. The results of these studies are expected to provide basic data on programs and solutions to overcome the trauma of injury after returning from the rehabilitation process and negative psychological factors that occur when ice hockey players face injuries undergo rehabilitation.
