The purpose of this study is to enable Korean major students in China to accurately and deeply understand Korean culture through short video TikTok, using fragmented time anytime and anywhere except during class time, and to propose the development of Korean culture education content conducive to practical communication within 15 seconds to 1 minute.
Currently, The TikTok app in China only includes Korean pronunciation and grammar education related to Korean language education, with little content related to culture education. There are short videos and content on Korean culture made by Korean students living in Korea, but Korean students in China are not helpful. Because most people talk subjectively about Korean culture, the exchange rate is high for learners to get misinformation about Korean culture. Therefore, it is necessary for students majoring in Korean to objectively and accurately introduce or explain Korean culture on TikTok. In addition, since most Korean majors in Chinese universities have basic Korean proficiency, the video shows how Korean food, etiquette, and living culture exist and how Korean culture has changed so far. Therefore, Korean cultural content in such an online environment will have a greater influence on Korean culture and education.
This study consists of the following contents.
The first chapter introduces the purpose and necessity of this research, the first research and the research content.
Chapter 2 first sorts out the concept and characteristics of new media. Based on the characteristics of new media, the paper summarizes whether the advantages of education can be applied to Korean culture and education. It also introduces the main functions of TikTok application and the educational value of TikTok, and sorts out the forms of expression of cultural content in TikTok.
Chapter 3 will analyze the content, expression and limitations of Korean cultural content on TikTok. Make 4 questionnaire questions according to the survey results.
Chapter 4 conducts a questionnaire survey on the knowledge of TikTok, the way of making cultural and educational content, and the cultural content they are interested in among Korean students in China. The results show that, according to the teaching design model, specific programs are put forward in the stages of learning objectives, design-development-execution-evaluation of cultural and educational content.
