ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to find out how human rights sensitivity and human rights consciousness according to early childhood teachers' inclusive education experience affect inclusive education awareness and to find out the relative effect of each variable. For data analysis, the study calculated the mean and standard deviation using SPSS 23.0 program, conducted the t-test and ANOVA, calculated Pearson's moment correlation coefficient, then conducted multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of examining the differences in human rights sensitivity, human rights consciousness, and inclusive education awareness according to early childhood teachers' experience of inclusive education, the study found that human rights sensitivity and inclusive education awareness of early childhood teachers were higher in teachers with inclusive education experience than in those without inclusive education experience. In the case of human rights consciousness, there was no significant difference between the two groups according to the inclusive education experience. Second, as a result of examining the relationship between early childhood teachers' human rights sensitivity, human rights consciousness, and inclusive education awareness, the study found that there was no significant correlation between early childhood teachers' human rights sensitivity and human rights consciousness. On the contrary, early childhood teachers' human rights sensitivity and human rights consciousness had a significant positive correlation with overall inclusive education awareness. Human rights sensitivity and human rights consciousness had a significant positive correlation in viewpoints on inclusive education, the effect of inclusive education, and methods for improved inclusive education, which are sub-factors of inclusive education awareness. However, there was no significant correlation with preparation for inclusive education. Third, as a result of examining the relative influence of early childhood teachers' inclusive education experience, human rights sensitivity, and human rights consciousness on inclusive education awareness, the study found that there were significant effects of inclusive education experience, human rights sensitivity, and human rights consciousness related to the overall inclusive education awareness and its sub-factors: viewpoints on inclusive education, and the effect of inclusive education. The study also verified that human rights sensitivity and human rights consciousness had significant effects on the inclusive education improvement plan, and only the inclusive education experience had a significant effect on the preparation for inclusive education. This study examined the effects of inclusive education experience, human rights sensitivity, and human rights consciousness, which are qualitative variables of early childhood teachers, on inclusive education awareness. The findings indicate that factors that affect early childhood teachers' inclusive education awareness are inclusive education experience, human rights sensitivity, and human rights consciousness. The more early childhood teachers had experience in inclusive education, and the higher their human rights sensitivity and consciousness, the higher their inclusive education awareness. Therefore, to raise early childhood teachers' inclusive education awareness, it is required to expand the inclusive education experience and prepare a method to raise human rights sensitivity and human rights awareness. This paper is meaningful in that it suggests the necessity and direction of inclusive education awareness by investigating early childhood teachers' inclusive education awareness, which has not been sufficiently studied so far. In the study, several questions about the factors that can improve human rights sensitivity and human rights awareness remain unanswered. Further studies on this part are therefore recommended.
