In recent years, cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) have garnered significant interest due to their superior optical and optoelectronic properties. Particularly, their outstanding luminescent characteristics, such as high color purity, narrow full-width half maximum (FWHM), high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), and tunable emission wavelength, make them suitable for application as Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) in next-generation displays. However, despite these superior luminescent properties of PNCs, there are still remaining significant challenges to overcome in using as light-emitting materials such as the stability induced by the external conditions-light, moisture, heat and oxygen. To address these obstacles, various stabilization studies have been widely reported, including compositional engineering, matrix encapsulation, device encapsulation, and surface engineering. Among these methods, surface modification through ligand engineering and solvent selection is a well-known approach for enhancing the properties of PNCs. In this study, we analyzed the optical and optoelectronic properties of highly luminescent red-emitting CsPb(Br,I)3 PNCs through surface ligand passivation optimization with various dispersion solvents. For this purpose, we employed customized dodecyl-based iodine compounds, specifically didodecyldimethylammonium iodide (DDAI), tridodecylmethylammonium iodide (TDAI), and tetradodecylammonium iodide (TeDAI), in combination with PbI2 and various hydrocarbon solvents; hexane, octane and decane. Using the given PNCs, we thoroughly evaluated the photoluminescent and electroluminescent properties followed by investigated whether the effect of surface modification under various conditions had occurred. Moreover, we conducted the shelf and synthesis stability for the corresponding PNCs as well. The improvement of PNCs properties through ligand and solvent selection in this study is expected to contribute to the development of stable material synthesis and device fabrication techniques.
