The research on anti-reflection techniques plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of optical devices used in everything from consumer products to space exploration. Therefore, various strategies for anti-reflection tailored to specific applications are necessary. For instance, the sensitivity and resolution of semiconductor inspection and process equipment operating in the ultraviolet range depend on the transmittance of ultraviolet lenses. Anti-reflection technology for ultraviolet lenses is a key factor in improving the performance (resolution) of existing semiconductor equipment. Another example can be found in solar cells. The efficiency of solar cells is proportional to the absorption rate of solar energy, making anti-reflection technology on the surface of solar cells capable of enhancing their efficiency. Similarly, anti-reflection technology is essential for all application devices where improving light transmittance directly affects efficiency and performance, such as display resolution enhancement and sharpness of camera lenses. In this study, we consider anti-reflective strategies for various purposes will be discussed in depth.. First, interference-based anti-reflection techniques are examined. When light passes through the interface of two materials with different refractive indices, it undergoes transmission, reflection, and absorption. By manipulating the structure of optical films, the behavior of light can be artificially controlled. This study describes the design of structures operating across a broad range of wavelengths (or angles) using only two materials at a wavelength of 193 nm. Second, it investigates anti-reflection strategies employing graded refractive index. The subwavelength-scale periodic two-dimensional structure has an effective refractive index determined by the combination of matter and air. This allows for achieving a graded refractive index with the same effect as a material with a gradually varying refractive index. Third, we examine anti-reflection strategies using geometrical optics. When light transitions from a material with a high refractive index to a material with a low refractive index, total reflection occurs when a certain condition is satisfied over a certain angle. This phenomenon, known as 'total internal reflection,' is utilized to design geometric patterns that manipulate the direction of light to achieve complete transmission. Experimental devices were devised to measure the distribution and intensity of reflection and transmission as a function of wavelength and angle of incidence. The experimental results were supported by computational simulations based on the theoretical background.
