The current trend in tourism is shifting towards experiential-centered tourism, and it is developing around integrated resorts that consolidate various facilities such as casinos, shopping, food and beverage restaurants, conventions, leisure amenities, performance venues, and theme parks to satisfy diverse tourism demands of visitors. These resorts can be described as multi-dimensional leisure tourism industries that support the selective diversity of visitors and provide a sense of liberation from everyday life by offering new experiences. This study was motivated by the scarcity of research on the food and beverage business within integrated resorts, in contrast to the extensive prior research on attributes of choice, experiential factors, and behavioral intentions related to the resorts. The perception may stem from the belief that the food and beverage business within integrated resorts would not significantly differ from the existing forms of the restaurant industry. This study aims to analyze the selection attributes considered important by domestic visitors who have experienced F&B services within integrated resorts, which have gained significance in tourism due to the expanding perception and unique domain of gastronomy and culinary experiences, validate the findings, analyze the factors influencing satisfaction, intention to revisit, and loyalty, and utilize them as marketing and operational strategies to foster the development of the food and beverage industry in domestic integrated resorts. Furthermore, it intends to provide foundational data considering the potential and growth trajectory of the integrated resort market, aiming to promote the activation of the F&B industry within integrated resorts and present successful operational approaches for F&B services within integrated resorts. For the scope of this study, survey analysis was conducted using domestic tourists residing in South Korea who have experienced integrated resort visits. Based on literature reviews and prior research, hypotheses were formulated regarding the relationships between variables, followed by the design of a research model. Frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling were then performed to test the hypotheses. The summary of the hypothesis testing results is as follows. First, among the F&B selection attributes of the integrated resorts, it was found that the physical environment, staff service, and food quality had a significantly positive influence on the satisfaction, while the price fairness showed a non-significant relationship and was rejected. Second, in the relationship between the four F&B selection attributes and the intention to revisit, it was found that the price fairness had a significantly positive influence on the intention to revisit, while the other three factors, namely the physical environment, staff service, and food quality, did not. Third, the satisfaction of integrated resort visitors was found to be significantly influential to the intention to revisit. It was found that both the satisfaction and the intention to revisit had a significant influence on the loyalty. This can be interpreted as the cognitive differences among visitors regarding the variable of price fairness being reflected, wherein various material types of discounts such as benefits, packages, coupons, and membership privileges play an important role as factors influencing visitor satisfaction and intention to revisit. As a practical implication of this study, the differentiation in the composition of food and beverage tenants in integrated resorts is required. Based on the motivation of visitors seeking new experiences outside of their daily lives, it will be crucial to strategically place F&B tenants in resorts that offer attractive environments, facilities, lighting, ambiance, and a focus on aesthetics, allowing them to experience diverse and unique cuisines. Their novel and refreshing culinary experiences will become an important marketing element that can generate overall synergy within the experiential dimension of the resorts.
