In this study, we propose a method for coating nanoparticles on Al foil used as a electrolyte collector and coating an anode material on it. Since the roughness and morphology of the Al foil surface directly affect the bonding strength and interfacial contact resistance between the collector and the electrode active material, we observed that spin coating of nanoparticles on the Al foil surface followed by plasma treatment resulted in a smoother surface, reduced resistance, and improved the electrochemical performance of the LIB. Comparison of the charge and discharge performance of the battery showed that the nanoparticle-coated anode had a significant effect on improving the conductivity. To evaluate the performance of the fabricated anode materials, the most effective way is to fabricate Li-ion cells and compare their performance. In order to observe the performance change of the anode material with and without nanoparticles proposed in this study, a CC-CV test method using a charging and discharging device was utilized for comparative analysis. First, the VOC is checked to determine the performance potential of the cell. Then, if there is no problem, the experiment is conducted under the condition of 1C-rate to observe the charge and discharge. If the voltage suddenly rises to the upper limit of 4.2 V during charging, it is judged that there is too much resistance in the cell. In this study, after varying the conditions, we concluded that the problem occurred when we coated the slurry with a mass greater than 0.015 g based on a 14 pi size anode. To meet this condition, we coated the slurry with a thickness of 100 ㎛ and rolled it to a thickness of 50 ㎛ to produce the anode material. When evaluating the performance using a charging and discharging machine, we compared the two conditions. The residual life capacity was analyzed after 50 charge and discharge cycles when the charge limit voltage was 4.5 V under high voltage conditions. In the case of Ref. cell (nanoparticle-free battery), the remaining life capacity changed from 1.62 mAh to 1.31 mAh, showing 80.8%, and in the case of N.P. cell (nanoparticle battery), the remaining life capacity changed from 1.60 mAh to 1.35 mAh, showing 84.4%.
