Nickel aluminides intermetallic compound has many advantages when it is utilized for high-temperature, good oxidation-resistance, wear resistance, and high-creep resistance. Currently, many manufactureing skills of Direct-sintered materials by the HPCS(High Pressure Combustion Synthesis) process have been variously developed. When the direct-sintered material is manufactured by the HPCS process, the factors that affect the densification are pre-heating temperature and applying pressure on specimen. As a result, the higher pretemperature and the higher pressure, the more densified the specimen. It was found that the porosity and specific wear of sample produced decreased and grain size and micro-hardness of sample increased with increasing pressure.
