물의 온도, 셀룰로오스 용액의 농도, 전기장의 세기 및 feeding rate에 따른 전기 방사된 셀룰로오스의 모폴로지는 어떻게 변화하였는가? | 따라서 본 연구에서는 전기방사조건 중, 물의 온도, 셀룰로오스 용액의 농도, 전기장의 세기 및 feeding rate에 따른 전기방사된 셀룰로오스의 모폴로지 변화를 관찰하였다. 전기방사 후 셀룰로오스 내에 용매가 많이 남아 있는 경우에는 용해된 섬유형상의 모폴로지가 얻어졌다. 이러한 형상은 낮은 셀룰로오스 농도와 굵은 섬유가 얻어지는 조건에서 주로 나타났다. 이와 함께 높은 물의 온도는 용매의 확산을 촉진시키고 셀룰로오스의 점도를 낮추게 된다. 용매의 확산은 고화를 촉진시키나 낮은 점도는 셀룰로오스의 유동의 원인이 된다. 즉, 물 온도가 높은 경우에는 전기방사된 용액의 유동과 고화가 동시에 일어나면서 섬유와 필름의 중간형태의 모폴로지가 형성되게 한다. 따라서 섬유형상의 셀룰로오스 모폴로지를 얻기위해서는 높은 농도의 셀룰로오스, 낮은 온도의 물, 낮은 전기장과 낮은 feeding rate가 유리함을 알 수 있었다. | |
NMMO/H2O는 어떠한 특징을 가지는가? | 본 연구에서는 셀룰로오스 유도체가 아닌, 순수 셀룰로오스를 NMMO/H2O로 용해하여 이를 전기방사 하였다. NMMO/H2O는 다른 용매와 비교하여 높은 반수 치사량(Lethal Dose 50, LD50) 값을 갖는 친환경 용매이나 낮은 휘발성과 셀룰로오스 용액의 높은 점도로 인하여 전기방사가 매우 까다로우며, 이로 인하여 셀룰로오스/NMMO 시스템으로 전기방사를 보고한 연구는 많지 않다8-11).
