다음으로 2002년, 2003년, 2007년에 수리된 송광사 대웅전, 율곡사 대웅전, 쌍계사 대웅전을 보면 공통적으로 부식되거나 구조적으로 불안정한 부재는 양질의 육송으로 완전교체하거나 동바리기법을 병행하여 수리하였고, 일부 부재의 시료를 채취하여 수종분석34) 및 연륜연대측정을 시행하였다. 그러나 새롭게 도입된 수종분석 및 연륜연대측정 결과가 복원시점 및 방향을 결정하는데 필요한 자료임에도 불구하고 대부분 수리에서 반영되지 않았다.
