분자영상이란? | 최근에 영상의학은 나노기술과 결합된 분자영상으로 발전하고 있다. 분자영상(Molecular Imaging)은 세포 내에서 일어나는 여러 분자수준의 변화를 영상화하는 기법으로 첨단 영상기술과 분자세포생물학이 접목된 분야로서 의학, 유전학, 분자생물학, 세포학, 화학, 약학, 물리학, 의용 생체공학, 방사선학, 핵의학 등의 융합을 통하여 최근에 급속히 발전하는 분야로서 SPECT(single photon emission computed tomography), PET(positron emission tomography), MRI(magnetic resonance imaging), 초음파영상(ultrasonography), 형광(Fluorescence), 생물발광 (bioluminescence)등의 영상기술과 장비를 이용하여 암의 조기진단, 새로운 의약품의 개발, 유전자치료, 줄기 세포 연구 및 치료, 질병치료 예후예측 등에 활용되고 있다[1]. 분자영상은 생체조직을 손상시키지 않고 반복 적으로 영상화할 수 있는 기법으로서 세포수준의 기초연구를 임상에 쓰일 수 있게 하는 중개연구 (translation research)의 중요한 부분이다. |
