mHealth란 무엇인가? | 유비쿼터스 편재형 컴퓨팅 기술의 보편화와 인구고령화와 만성질환의 만연이라는 보건사회 환경의 변화는 환자가 의료기관을 방문하였을 때 서비스가 제공되던 전통적인 병원 중심의 헬스케어(healthcare) 서비스의 범위를 뛰어넘어 재택 환자의 개인별 일상생활의 관리[6]와 적절한 건강 개입[7, 8]을 통해 개별적 의료서비스를 언제 어디서나 제공할 수 있는 체제로 발전되고 있으며, 이와 같이 최신의 모바일 기술을활용한 새로운 의료서비스 프랙티스를 mHealth라 한다[9, 10]. mHealth의 적용범위는 최근에 실용화가 가시적으로 대두된 WWBS(착용형 무선 생체의료 센서, Wearable Wireless Biomedical Sensor)와 WBAN(무선인체 네트워크, Wireless Body Network)이 스마트폰과 이동통신과 결합함으로써 모바일폰이 환자들의 일상생활을 언제 어디서라도 모니터링할 수 있게 만들고 있으며[11, 12], 이로부터 의료인이 적절히 건강 개입을 할 수 있게 하는 등 만성질환 관리 및 환자의 일상 모니터링을 통한 건강 개입을 가능케 하는 중요한 플랫폼으로 인식되고 있다[3, 8, 13]. |
