초등학생들이 대체적으로 ‘열’개념에 대해서 잘못 이해하고 있는 것은 무엇인가? | ‘열’개념은 초등학생들에게 그 물체가 가지는 뜨겁고 차가운 정도로 받아들여지기도 하고(Albert, 1978) 열기와 냉기가 따로 존재하는 것처럼 생각하기도 한다(Erickson, 1979; Park & Shin, 2015). 또한 초등학생들은 열원과 접촉한 부분만 따뜻하며 물체 내에서는 이동하지 않는다는 개념을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났으며(Kim, 2011a), 대류와 복사 현상은 이해하고 있으나 각 현상의 열전달 방법에 대한 올바른 개념은 형성하지 못하는 것으로 알려졌다(Park, 1995). 이 뿐만 아니라 초등학생을 지도하게 될 예비교사에게서도 상황 의존적이며 물질의 속성에 맞추어 열전달 개념을 이해하고 있다는 것이 연구되었다(Koh & Paik, 2002). |
