Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the association between adolescent depression and personal factors such as interpersonal relationship and personal characteristics. Methods: The data used for this study was taken from the 2014 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey. Of those 2,351 subjects in a data set, data of 1,938 subjects were analyzed after excluding 413 subjects with missing information. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted for multi-variate analysis. In addition, controlling effects of ego-resiliency was analyzed. SPSS 22.0. was utilized for statistical analyses. Results: The study found that the depressive index was higher in women than men, and lower in adolescent who has a good relationship with parents and friends. This study also found that adolescents with high ego-resiliency are more vulnerable to depression. Conclusions: It is recommended to understand and to utilize ego-resiliency of adolescents, in order to reduce adolescents depression. Promoting good relationship with parents and friends will also positively impact to lower adolescents depression.

본 연구는 한국청소년정책연구원의 한국 아동 청소년패널조사(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS) 중에서 중1 패널 데이터 가운데 4차 자료인 고등학교 1학년생의 데이터를 사용하였다. 한국 아동 청소년 패널조사 2010(KCYPS)은 중학교 1학년 학생들을 패널집단으로 선정하고, 층화다단계집락표집 과정을 통해 표본 집단을 추출한 것으로, 78개 중학교를 표본 집단으로 선정하고, 각 학교별 한 개 학급의 청소년과 보호자를 대상으로 조사한 데이터이다.

데이터처리

성능/효과

본 연구는 아동 청소년패널조사의 4차년도 데이터를 사용하여 청소년의 부모 및 교우와의 관계요인 및 개인적 요인이 우울지수에 영향 주는지 분석하였다. 분석결과 성별, 부모 관계, 교우관계, 학업만족도 및 건강만족도, 스마트폰 의존도에 의해 청소년의 우울지수가 영향을 받는 것으로 파악되었다.
분석결과에 의하면, 여성이 남성에 비하여 우울 지수가 높았으며, 부모 및 교우관계가 좋을수록 우울지수가 낮아진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 다음으로 스마트폰 사용, 학업 및 건강만족도를 추가하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.
자아탄력성이 부모 및 교우관계 등 대인관계요인으로 인한 우울증을 조절하는 것을 나타났는데 이는 자아탄력성이 청소년의 우울을 줄이고 과잉행동 등의 문제행동을 낮추며 부모의 애정표현 등으로 인한 관계와 우울증 표출에 자아탄력성에 영향을 준다는 기존 연구(Block & Kremen, 1996; Lee & Chae, 2014)를 지지하고 있다. 이와 같이 자아탄력성은 개인이 속한 다양한 환경변화나 스트레스에 성공적으로 적응하는 사람과 실패하는 사람을 설명해주는 주요 변수이므로 특히 정서적, 인지적으로 민감하고 자신에 대한 통제가 서툰 청소년의 자아탄력성을 파악하여 생활지도에 활용하는 것이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

	청소년 정신건강이 위험수위에 있음을 시사하는 자료에는 어떤 것들이 있는가?	건강보험심사평가원의 자료에 의하면, 청소년의 우울증 진료건수가 급격하게 증가하고 있으며, 서울시 소아청소년 광역정신보건센터와 학교보건 진흥원이 서울 시내 39개교 중·고교생 1만 3091명 을 대상으로 실시한 ‘2009년 우울증학생 선별 및 관리사업’에서 2,180명(16.7%)이 초기 우울증상을 드러냈고, 우울증이 심각해 병원치료를 권고받은 청소년도 456명(3.5%)에 달했다(Ministry of Health and Welfare, 2009). 또한 2주 내내 일상생활에서 지장이 있을 정도의 우울증을 청소년의 40% 정도가 여전히 경험하고 있다. 이는 청소년 정신건강이 위험수위에 있음을 시사하는 것으로(Choi & Shin, 2016; Jo, 2009) 청소년기에 경험하는 우울 등의 내재된 정신건강 문제는 자학적 행동, 비행, 공격적 행동으로 표출되기도 하며, 우울증을 경험하는 청소년의 20∼30%가 문제행동을 하거나 성년 이후에도 낮은 건강수준, 작업능력의 감소, 의료 이용률 증가로 이어지는 것으로 알려져 있다 (Ministry Gender Equality and Family, 2016; Choi & Lee, 2014).
