芍藥甘草湯의 제조 및 복용 방법은? 芍藥甘草湯에 대한 최초기록은 傷寒論 太陽病篇이 며, 傷寒論 29번 條文의 ‘脚攣急’과 30번 條文의 ‘兩 胫拘急’, ‘胫尙微拘急, 重與芍藥甘草湯, 爾乃胫伸’을 근거로 하여, 下肢의 拘, 攣, 急의 양상이 나타날 때 주로 사용하여 왔다. 제조 및 복용 방법은 “芍藥 4兩, 甘草 4兩을 하루 분으로 하여, 물 3升에 넣고, 달여서 1升5合을 取하여, 약 찌꺼기를 去하고, 2회로 나누어 溫服한다.”고 기술되어 있다1).
