The study was carried out by surveying 500 fostered teenagers at youth shelters in the Capital area via onsite visit over about three weeks from April 17 to May 10, 2018; 487 samples out of 500 questioned subjects were used for the final analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, the career decision self-efficacy was verified to have a partial mediating effect between all of self-leadership variables and the career maturity of the fostered adolescents at youth shelters. Second, the career decision self-efficacy was verified to have a partial mediating effect between the action-oriented strategy, which is one of the self-leadership variables, and the career maturity of the fostered adolescents at youth shelters. 제안 방법

청소년의 셀프리더십 측정도구는 Houghton과 Neck(2002)이 개발한 RSLQ(revised self leadership questionnaire) 측정도구[34]를 이종찬과 홍아정(2013)이 번안해 국내 실정에 맞게 문구를 수정 및 보완하여 사용한 척도를 사용하였다[32]. 셀프리더십의 하위 요인으로는 행동중심 전략 18문항, 자연보상 전략 5문항, 건설적사고유형 전략 12문항 등 모두 35문항으로 구성되어 있다.
청소년의 진로결정자기효능감에 대한 측정은 Betz 외 (1996)가 개발한 CDMSES-SF(career decision making self efficacy scale: short form)[35]를 이기학과 이학주(2000)가 번안해 국내 실정에 맞게 문구를 수정 및 보완하여 사용한 척도를 사용하였다[36]. 진로결정자기효능감의 하위 요인으로는 자기평가 5문항, 직업정보수집 5문항, 계획수립 5문항, 목표설정 5문항, 문제해결방식 5 문항 등 모두 25문항으로 구성하였다.

대상 데이터

본 연구의 대상은 전국에 위치하고 있는 시설들을 목록화하여 전국 소재의 아동양육시설을 표집으로 하여 설문을 실시하고자 하였지만, 편의표집 추출방법의 한계로 인하여 대부분 수도권 지역에 위치하고 있는 아동양육시설을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사는 2018년 4월 17일부터 5월 10일까지 3주에 걸쳐 무선표집을 실시하였다.

청소년의 진로성숙도에 대한 측정은 Crites와 Savickas(1996)의 CMI-R(career maturity inventory revised)[37]을 Savickas와 Porfeli(2011)가 개정한 CMI-C[38]를 이종원(2015)이 번역하여 사용한 척도[39]를 사용하였으며, 관여성 6문항, 호기심 6문항, 확신성 6문항, 협의성 6문항 등 모두 24문항으로 구성하였다.

성능/효과

넷째, 시설보호 청소년의 셀프리더십 중, 건설적사고 전략과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감은 완전매개효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 즉, 시설보호 청소년이 어려운 상황에 대해서 기회요인을 찾아 극복하여 대처하려는 노력을 하는 건설적사고 셀프리더십 전략을 갖는 것은 시설보호 청소년의 진로성숙도에 어떠한 영향을 미치지 않지만, 진로결정자기효능감이 매개역할을 하였을 때에는 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다.
둘째, 시설보호 청소년의 셀프리더십 중, 행동중심적 전략과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감은 부분매개효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 즉, 시설보호 청소년이 성공적인 결과를 이끌어내는 긍정적이고 바람직한 행동을 동기 부여하여 수행하는 행동중심적 셀프리더십 전략을 가지고 있을수록 진로성숙도 수준이 향상될 것이고, 진로결정자기효능감이 매개역할을 함으로써 진로성숙도 수준이 증폭되어 그 수준이 더욱 높아질 것이라는 것을 의미한다.
셋째, 시설보호 청소년의 셀프리더십 중, 자연적보상 전략과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감은 부분매개효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 즉, 시설보호 청소년이 주어진 과제에 대하여 흥미 있는 측면을 강조하는 자연 보상적 셀프리더십 전략 수준이 높을수록 진로결정자기효능감이 높아짐으로써 진로성숙도가 높아질 것이라는 것이다.
본 연구의 주요 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점을 논의하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시설보호 청소년의 셀프리더십 전체와 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로결정 자기효능감은 부분매개효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 즉, 시설보호 청소년의 셀프리더십 수준이 높다면 진로성숙도 수준이 높아지고, 진로결정자기효능감이 촉매제 역할을 함으로써 시설보호 청소년에게 더욱 긍정적인 진로성숙도를 이끌어낼 수 있다는 것이다.

후속연구

이러한 차원에서 일반 청소년들뿐만 아니라 시설보호 청소년도 긍정적이고 바람직한 행동을 이끌어줄 수 있는 행동중심적 셀프리더십과 같은 리더십 생활기술이 필요하며, 이러한 리더십 생활기술은 청소년의 부정적인 정서를 감소시키고 긍정적인 정서를 향상시킴으로써 청소년의 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 영향을 초래할 수 있다. 따라서 시설보호 청소년의 셀프 리더십 중 자연보상 셀프리더십의 향상 방안을 통하여 진로성숙도를 매개체로 하는 대안적 프로그램이 제시된 다면, 이를 바탕으로 시설보호 청소년에게 차별서 있는 진로결정자기효능감을 높일 수 있는 근거를 제시할 수 있을 것이다.
본 연구에서 시설보호 청소년의 진로성숙도를 강화시키는 것이 매우 중요함을 강조하였지만, 정작 시설보호 청소년의 진로에 대한 고민이나 계획 등이 구체적으로 어떤 내용으로 구성되어있는지 밝히지 못하였다. 따라서 후속연구에서는 시설보호 청소년이 진로에 대해서 어떠한 고민이 있고, 어떠한 계획이 있는지 등에 대한 질적 연구를 통해 실질적으로 시설보호 청소년의 진로성숙도 수준을 파악할 수 있을 것이다.
