많은 연구에서 실어증 환자의 치료에 대해서 어떻게 말하고 있는가? | 실어증 환자의 경우 치료 초기에는 언어재활사를 통해 재활 서비스를 받게 되지만, 결국 의사소통능력의 촉진과 일반화에 대한 부분은 가족 구성원의 몫이 된다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 많은 연구에서 실어증 환자의 절반 정도가 병원 이용이 번거롭고, 경제적인 비용 부담과 병원 치료의 불만족 등으로 치료를 받고 있지 않다고 보고하였다(Pyun, Kim, Han, Kwon, & Lee, 1999). 실어증의 환자뿐만 아니라 보호자의 경우에도 스트레스 발생률이 치매 환자의 보호자와 거의 동등한 수준으로 조사되었고 실어증이 있는 뇌졸중 환자의 언어장애는 보호자의 스트레스를 더욱 높이는 요인으로 간주하였는데, 실어증 환자의 보호자들은 비 실어증 환자의 보호자들에 비해 우울감, 고립감, 그리고 기타 정서적인 문제 들을 더욱 많이 호소하는 것으로 결론 내리고 있다 (Michallet, Dorze, & Tetreault, 2001; Dorze & Brassaed, 1995). |
