본 연구는 2019년 12월에 ICA에서 발표한 보존기록의 기술표준인 RiC-CM v0.2 초안을 국내에 처음으로 소개하는 논문이며, 기록 현장에서 어떻게 적용해야 하는지를 고민한 초기 단계의 연구이다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 절차에 의해 수행되었다. 첫째, RiC-CM v0.1과 v0.2의 각 개체, 속성, 관계를 비교·분석하였으며 이를 통해 버전 0.2의 주요 특성을 추출하였다. 둘째, 버전 0.2의 기본 원리와 추출된 특성을 고려하여 온톨로지를 구축하고 보존기록의 의미구조를 확인하고자 하였다. 의미구조를 구축하기 위해 온톨로지 언어를 지원하는 프로테제(Protégé)를 활용하였다. 셋째, 프로테제 사례 입력을 통해 버전 0.1과의 차이점을 확인하고 버전 0.2의 특성이 온톨로지로 어떻게 표현되는지를 살펴보았다.
