내당능장애는 무엇인가? | 내당능장애(Impaired glucose tolerance, IGT) 는 혈중 포도당에 내성이 생겨 인슐린이 제 기능을 하지 못하는 상태로 공복 혈당 수치가 100∼ 125mg/dL이하이고 식사 2시간 후 141∼199mg /dL 이하이다 [5]. 이는 혈당수치가 정상 범위보다는 높으나 당뇨병 범위보다는 낮은 상태로 곧 당뇨병으로 발전할 수 있는 당뇨병 전 단계를 의미한다. 따라서 내당능장애와 T2DM은 인슐린 분비 결함으로 인해 고혈당증을 유발하는 다양한 수준의 인슐린 저항성을 특징으로 하는 상태라고 할 수 있다 [6]. |
