본 연구는 고령층 1인 가구의 증가에 따른 문제점 및 사회변화를 고찰하고, 고령층 1인 가구를 위한 스마트홈서비스를 조사하여, 사용에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들을 파악하고자 한다. 선행연구를 통해 사용에 대한 태도에 영향을 주는 요인들로 신뢰, 보안위험, 자기 효능감, 사회적 영향, 지각된 용이성, 지각된 유용성을 선택하였다. 스마트홈 서비스를 사용하고 있는 고령층을 대상으로 이러한 요인들에 대한 인지 수준, 그리고 성별, 교육수준별 차이 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 고령층이 지각된 유용성과 지각된 용이성을 충분히 인지하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 스마트홈 서비스 사용에 있어서 여성 고령층이 남성 고령층보다 사회적 영향을 많이 받고 있으며, 교육수준 별로 자기 효능감과 사회적 영향에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 본 연구는 후속연구에 새로운 연구 시각을 제공하고 중요한 기초연구로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
