겨우살이(Viscum album var. coloratum)의 80% 에탄올 추출물의 항산화, α-glucosidase 저해 및 항응고 효과를 확인하였다. 겨우살이 추출물의 수율은 30.9±0.4%이었고, 폴리페놀 함량은 57.6±1.5 mg GAE/g으로 나타났다. 겨우살이 추출물의 농도에 비례하여 유리라디칼 및 양이온라디칼 소거능, 아질산염 소거능, 환원력의 항산화 효과가 증가하였다. 또한 겨우살이 추출물은 α-glucosidase의 활성을 저해하였고, 혈액응고 체계의 외인성 경로와 공통 경로를 주로 저해함으로써 혈장 응고를 억제하였다.
