본 연구는 역경지수와 연구개발역량이 기업성과에 미치는 영향과 이 변수 간의 관계에서 조직창의성 영향요인의 매개역할을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 7개의 가설을 설정하였으며, 역경지수를 통제력, 영향범위, 및 지속성으로 구분하였고, 조직창의성 영향요인을 조직자원과 조직경영관행으로 구분하였고, 기업성과를 경영성과와 기술적 성과로 구분하였다. 본 연구는 경기도 소재 기술창업 중소기업에 근무하는 CEO를 대상으로 1,000부의 설문지를 배포 후 무기명으로 122부를 수집하였다. 응답이 불성실하거나 누락된 6건을 제외한 116부의 설문지를 가설검증에 사용하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 역경지수 가운데 영향범위는 조직자원에 정(+)의 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 역경지수 가운데 통제력은 경영성과 및 기술적 성과 각각에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 조직경영관행은 경영성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 조직자원은 통제력과 기술적 성과 간의 관계를 부분 매개하고, 영향범위와 기술적 성과 간의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 본 연구는 연구결과의 이론적 시사점 및 실무적 시시점에 대해 논의하였다.
