The development of the egg, larvae, and juveniles of Acheilognathus macropterus from the Wicheon stream of Nakdonggang River was investigated for early life history characteristics. The fish used in the study were collected from Wicheon stream located in Bian-myeon, Uiseong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The fertilized egg was 1.88±0.09 mm (n=30) in long diameter and 1.34±0.06 mm (n=30) in short diameter. After fertilization at a water temperature of 20℃, the egg took 31 h and 40 min to hatch. Newly hatched larvae had an average total length of 3.92±0.13 mm (n=30) and possessed a yolk sac the mouth and anus were not developed. Twenty days after hatching, the postflexion larvae had an average total length of 8.08±0.29 mm (n=30), with the tail tip fully bent at 45° and began feeding. Thirty-three days after hatching, the number of fin stems reached an integer with an average total length of 15.0±1.08 mm (n=30). In this study, differences in the egg size, hatching time, melanophore development period, and distribution location were confirmed between A. macropterus and allied species.

친어는 PVC (polyvinyl chloride) 재질의 사각수조(50×45×35 cm)에서 순환여과식으로 사육하였고, 수조 내 산란유도를 위해 각 장 10 cm 이상의 석패과(Unionidae) 이매패류 말조개(Unio douglasiae) 3마리를 모래가 담긴 작은 용기에 넣어주었다

연구에 사용된 친어는 경북 의성군 비안면에 위치한 위천으로 유입되는 지류에서 통발로 포획 후 연구실로 운반하였다. 친어는 수컷 전장 4.

비교한 근연종들은 수온 20–22°C 범위에서 난발생이 이루어졌고, 영암천 개체와 13시간 차이로 유사한 수온 범위 내에서도 부화 소요시간에 차이를 보였다. 근연종인 일본산 큰납지리는 45시간, 가시납지리 7시간으로 차이를 보여 큰납지리 보다 부화시간이 오래 소요되었다.
4 mm일 때 몸 전체와 각 지느러미 기조에 소형 흑색소포가 분포하였다. 납자루아과 어류의 후기자어기는 흑색소포의 부위별 분포 위치에 따라 형태적 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.
본 연구에서는 영암천 개체(Suzuki and Jeon, 1989)의 결과보다 빠른 시기에 흑색소포가 발달하였고, 발달 부위에서도 차이를 보였으나 두 수계 간의 형태를 비교한 결과는 유사하였다. 다만 흑색소포의 발달시기와 부위의 차이는 본 연구의 위천 개체가 영암천 개체에 비해 다소 빠른 발달 정도를 보인 것으로 이후 위천 개체와 영암천 개체의 형태적 특징은 유사하였다.
본 연구를 종합한 결과 위천에 서식하는 큰납지리의 난 크기는 장경을 기준으로 가장 작은 점, 부화시간이 유사한 수온범위 내에서 가장 짧은 점, 후기자어 이행시기 가시납지리 보다 크기가 큰 점, 등지느러미 흑색소포가 타원형으로 밀집되어 발달하는 점, 유사한 환경에서 가시납지리 보다 치어 이행시기가 늦은 점에서 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.
본 연구에서 큰납지리 위천 개체는 영암천 개체 보다 낮은 수온임에도 부화시간이 짧게 소요되는 특이점을 보였는데 세포분열이 시작되는 시기부터 위천 개체는 1시간, 영암천 개체는 30분 단위로 위천 개체보다 빠른 발생속도를 보였으나 낭배 말기부터 발생속도는 영암천 개체보다 위천 개체가 빠른 발달을 보였다. 이러한 차이는 난발생 수온이 위천 개체 19–23°C, 영암천 개체 21–23°C 범위를 보였으며 발생 단계별로 수온변화의 영향을 받아 차이를 보인 것으로 판단된다.
또한 영암천 개체(Suzuki and Jeon, 1989)의 선행연구에서도 같은 결과를 나타낸다. 본 연구의 큰납지리는 치어기로 접어든 시기에 확연한 발달을 나타냈고, 영암천 개체(Suzuki and Jeon, 1989)는 후기자어기에 배지느러미의 분화가 시작된 시점에 발달하여 차이를 보였다. 영암천 개체(Suzuki and Jeon, 1989)의 선행연구 결과는 본 연구에서 부화 후 25일째 후기자어의 형태와 유사하였고, 이 시기에는 흑색소포가 타원형으로 밀집되고 있어 선행연구 결과와 본 연구의 관찰시점에 차이를 보인 것으로 생각된다.
부화 자어 크기를 비교한 결과 평균 전장 3.92±0.13 mm, 영암천 개체(Suzuki and Jeon, 1989)는 3.04 mm, 일본산 큰납지리(Kim et al., 2012) 3.8 mm, 가시납지리(Suzuki and Jeon, 1990b) 3.31 mm로 근연종들과 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다(Table 1).
부화 후 15일째 중기자어는 전장 7.29–7.64 mm (전장 7.43±0.13 mm, n=30)로 각 부위별 지느러미 줄기 수는 등지느러미 5–7개, 뒷지느러미 4–6개가 발달하였고, 꼬리지느러미는 16–19 (10+9)개로 증가하였다
부화 후 25일째 후기자어는 전장 8.99–11.1 mm (전장 10.0±0.76 mm, n=30)로 배지느러미는 분화하기 시작하였고, 각 부위별 지느러미 줄기 수는 등지느러미 16–18개, 뒷지느러미 14–16개로 증가하였다
부화 후 2일째 난황자어는 전장 4.98–5.81 mm (전장 5.49±0.24 mm, n=30)로 꼬리는 타원형의 막지느러미로 발달하였고, 자어의 움짐임이 활발해졌다
부화 후 3일째 난황자어는 전장 5.53–5.91 mm (전장 5.75±0.11 mm, n=30)로 꼬리부분의 막지느러미는 더욱 넓게 발달하였고, 눈의 가운데는 눈동자가 완전히 발달하였다
부화 후 8일째 난황자어는 전장 6.41–6.72 mm (전장 6.53±0.10 mm, n=30)로 눈에는 렌즈가 발달하였고, 등지느러미는 분화하기 시작하였으며, 꼬리지느러미에는 13–16개의 줄기가 발달하였다
비교한 근연종들은 수온 20–22°C 범위에서 난발생이 이루어졌고, 영암천 개체와 13시간 차이로 유사한 수온 범위 내에서도 부화 소요시간에 차이를 보였다
자어 시기의 흑색소포 발달 시기를 비교한 결과 큰납지리는 부화 후 5일째 평균 전장 6.33±0.04 mm일 때 눈에 최초로 침착하였고, 부화 후 8일째 평균 전장 6.53±0.10 mm일 때 난황의 윗부분에 나뭇가지 모양으로 침착하였다
치어기로 이행시기를 비교한 결과 부화 후 33일째 전장 15.0±1.08 mm일 때 모든 지느러미의 줄기 수가 정수에 달하였다
50 mm일 때 눈의 동공과 미부 복측 중앙과 난황에 침착하였다(Table 2). 큰납지리는 일본산 큰납지리와 눈의 동공에 흑색소포가 먼저 침착하는 반면, 가시납지리는 눈의 동공과 배체에 흑색소포가 동시에 침착하여 발달과정에서 차이점을 확인할 수 있었다.
큰납지리의 난 형태는 타원형으로 난황의 색은 황색을 띠었다. 성숙란은 난막이 얇은 상태로 부착성이 없는 분리 침성난이었다.
후기자어 시기 형태적 특징을 다른 납자루아과 어류와 비교한 결과 낙동납자루(Tanakia latimarginata) (Park et al., 2018)는 부화 41일째 전장 8.70 mm일 때 등지느러미와 꼬리지느러미에 반점모양의 흑색소포가 세로 줄로 이어졌고, 각시붕어(Rhodeus uyekii) (Park and Han, 2018)는 부화 후 23일째 전장 8.97 mm일 때 등지느러미, 뒷지느러미, 꼬리지느러미 기조 위에 반점모양의 흑색소포가 침착 되어 있었다. 흰줄납줄개(R.
