Purpose : The purposes of this study were to determine the relationships of communication skills with smartphone addiction and self-efficacy before clinical practice training among nursing students and to provide basic data for developing and verifying the effectiveness of an intervention program for improving nursing students' communication skills. Methods : This study targeted those who obtained consent to collect data explained the purpose and procedure of the study for the first and second graders of the nursing department at one university located in B city. The data collection period was from April 24 to May 13, 2023. A total of 207 questionnaire responses were included in the analysis. The collected data were analyzed using t-tests and analysis of variance in the SPSS/Win 230 program. The results were reported as real numbers, percentages, mean values, and standard deviations. The correlations between the variables were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results : Smartphone addiction according to the general characteristics of the study subjects showed significant differences in 'residence type' (F=2.91, p=.035) and 'average smartphone usage time' (F=20.15, p=.000). It seemed. self-efficacy was determined by 'age' (F=2.74, p=.045), 'subjective academic level' (F=7.71, p=.001), and 'average smartphone usage time' (F=3.96, p=.009) showed a significant difference. Communication skills showed a significant difference in 'average smartphone usage time' (F=3.83, p=.011). The correlation between the variables of the study subjects showed that self-efficacy was negatively correlated with smartphone addiction (r=-.42, p<.001), and communication ability was positively correlated with self-efficacy. It was found that (r=.55, p<.001). 15) Conclusion : On the basis of the study results, the higher the nursing students' smartphone addiction, the lower their self-efficacy, and the higher their communication ability, the higher their self-efficacy. Therefore, intervention research is necessary to develop interventions for preventing smartphone addiction and increasing communication ability among nursing students.

특히, 최근까지 포스트 코로나 시대의 간호대학생 1, 2학년을 대상으로 한 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감, 의사소통능력과의 관계에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 포스트 코로나 시대의 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감, 의사소통능력과의 관계를 규명하고, 의사소통능력을 증진하기 위한 중재 프로그램 개발하는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.
본 연구는 임상실습교육 전 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감 및 의사소통능력간의 관계를 파악하기 위한 서술적 상관관계 연구(descriptive correlational study)이다.
본 연구는 임상실습교육 전 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감, 의사소통능력 관계를 분석하고, 간호 대학생의 스마트폰 중독을 예방하고, 의사소통능력을 향상시키기 위한 연구의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도하였다. 주요 연구결과에 따른 논의는 다음과 같다.
대상 데이터
본 연구의 대상은 B시에 소재한 2개 대학의 임상실습 교육 전 간호학과 1, 2학년을 대상으로 연구자가 연구 목적과 절차를 설명한 후 동의 한 사람을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 대상자의 크기는 G-power analysis program 3.
20일 때 표본크기를 산출하면, 최소표본 크기는 191명이었다. 이에 탈락률 15 % 고려하여 총 220부의 설문지를 배부하였고, 미회수된 13부(5 %)를 제외하고 총 207부(95 %)를 분석에 사용되었다.
데이터처리
1) 임상실습교육 전 간호대학생의 일반적 특성과 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감 및 의사소통능력 정도는 기술 통계를 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차로 분석하였다.
2) 임상실습교육 전 간호대학생의 일반적 특성에 따른 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감 및 의사소통능력의 차이는 t-test, ANOVA로 분석하였다.
3) 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감 및 의사소통능력간의 관계는 Pearson`s correlation coefficients로 분석하였다.
이론/모형
Korea internet & security agency(2012)에서 개발한 성인 스마트폰 중독 자가진단척도(S-척도)를 사용하였다
Phillips와 Wood(1990)의 interpersonal communication competence scale(ICC)에서 제시한 8가지 의사소통 능력 구성개념에 Hur(2003)가 7가지 개념을 합하여 수정 보완한 global interpersonal communication competency scale(GICC) 도구를 사용하였다. ‘전혀 그렇지 않다’ 1점에서 ‘매우 그렇다’ 5점의 Likert 척도로, 점수가 높을수록 의사소통이 높다는 것을 의미한다.
Sherer 등(1982)이 개발한 Self-Efficacy scale을 Hong(1995)이 번안한 자기효능감 척도를 사용하였다. 하위요인은 일반적인 자기효능감 17문항과 대인관계에서의 사회적 자기효능감 6문항으로 구성되어 있다.
성능/효과
본 연구는 임상실습교육 전 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감, 의사소통능력의 관계를 확인하였으며, 스마트폰 중독이 높을수록, 자기효능감 및 의사소통 능력이 낮아진다는 결과를 확인하였다. 또한 자기효능감과 의사소통능력과 정적상관관계가 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로, 다음과 같이 제언하고자 한다.

첫째, 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감, 의사소통 변수간의 다중회귀분석 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독 예방에 대한 중재 프로그램 개발 및 효과검증 할 수 있는 중재연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 임상실습 전 간호대학생의 실습실 교육 강화 및 비교과 프로그램 제공을 통하여 임상실습을 경험하기 전 자기효능감 및 의사소통능력을 강화할 수 있는 교과 및 비교과 체계 마련이 필요하다.
선행연구에 따르면 자기 효능감과 의사소통능력은 임상수행능력에 직접 효과가 있다고 나타났다(Kwon & Kwag, 2012). 따라서 간호대학생의 졸업 후 현장에서의 임상수행능력을 증진시키기 위한 자기효능감과 의사소통능력의 향상을 중재 프로그램 개발 및 효과검증 연구가 필요할 것이다.
이것은 간호대학생이 스마트폰의 중독 정도가 점차 높아지게 될 것으로 보인다. 따라서 스마트폰 중독을 예방하기 위한 연구와 더불어 스마트폰을 이용하여 자기효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 중재연구가 필요하다고 사료된다. 자기효능감과 의사소통능력은 양의 상관관계를 나타내어(r=.
이것은 스마트폰 사용 시간이 적을수록 간호대학생의 자기효능감은 높다는 것으로 미루어 짐작할 수 있다. 또한 자기효능감을 높일수록 스마트폰 중독을 예방할 수 있을 것으로 보여, 자기효능감을 높일 수 있는 중재 프로그램 개발 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
간호대학생의 전문성 강화를 위하여 임상실습교육 전 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독을 예방하기 위한 다양한 중재 프로그램이 필요할 것으로 보이며, 특히, 코로나 펜데믹을 겪으면서 대학 교육에도 많은 변화를 경험하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 스마트폰 중도 정도를 낮추고, 자기효능감 및 의사소통 능력을 높일 수 있는 중재프로그램 개발 및 적용이 필요하다.
둘째, 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독 예방에 대한 중재 프로그램 개발 및 효과검증 할 수 있는 중재연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 임상실습 전 간호대학생의 실습실 교육 강화 및 비교과 프로그램 제공을 통하여 임상실습을 경험하기 전 자기효능감 및 의사소통능력을 강화할 수 있는 교과 및 비교과 체계 마련이 필요하다.

48점으로 본 연구 스마트폰 중독 평균점수 보다 낮은 점수를 보였다. 이런 결과를 미루어보아, 일반대학생, 전국의 방사선 학과 학생을 대상으로 한 연구보다 본 연구에서 스마트폰 중독 점수가 낮았으며, 전체 간호 대학생을 대상으로 한 연구보다 스마트폰 중독 점수가 높은 것은 연구대상에서 차이가 있을 것으로 보이며, 학년별 스마트폰 중독 점수를 규명할 수 있는 후속연구가 필요할 것이다.
62점으로 비교적 낮은 점수를 보였는데, 이는 본 연구의 대상자들이 사용하는 기숙사의 특성상 타인과 함께 거주하고 있기 때문이라고 생각할 수 있다. 이를 통해 스마트폰 중독은 혼자 거주하는 경우 높은 점수를 나타낸다는 것을 유추할 수 있지만 이러한 요인이 스마트폰 중독에 얼마만큼의 영향을 주는지에 대한 후속 연구가 필요할 것이다.
이상의 연구결과를 토대로, 다음과 같이 제언하고자 한다. 첫째, 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독, 자기효능감, 의사소통 변수간의 다중회귀분석 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 간호대학생의 스마트폰 중독 예방에 대한 중재 프로그램 개발 및 효과검증 할 수 있는 중재연구가 필요하다.
