The purpose of this study is reveal the properties and durability of concrete with the long-term aged apartments located in Seoul. And relationship between the physical lifetime and carbonation depth of concrete is examined. Experiment between 1992 and 1996 is proceeded with core specimen taken from the 22, 24, 25 year old concrete structure before demolishing individually, and compressive strength, pulse velocity, water absorption, depth of carbonation is estimated. And finally, to make a quantitative prediction of the evolution of carbonation depth with time, the analysis between the extent of carbonation obtained from this study and other existing results is carried out.
