The invention relates to a clamping device for saw blades, in particular in motor-driven straight-back and saber saws, which is fixable to a lifting rod. It is provided in that the saw blade (8) rests between a clamp holder (1) and a movable clamping piece (2), and the clamping piece (2), on the side remote from the saw blade, is embodied in wedgelike fashion, and the clamping piece (2) is movable by means of a spring (3) into the position of repose, by a wedge piece (4) whose wedgelike side rests on the wedgelike side of the clamping piece (2), in such a way that the clamping piece (2) presses against the saw blade (8).

The clamping device of one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that a bolt (7) is fixed to the wedge piece (4) and passes through the cover plate (6), out of the clamping device. 5. The clamping device of one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that in addition to the clamping device, a handle piece (10) is provided, which has a driver (11), and a T profile of the driver (11) is disposed along the lifting direction, and the T profile carries the bolt (7) with it as the handle piece (10) is pressed down.
