An adhesive dispensing and applying device is disclosed suitable for applying lengths of adhesive onto an article from a convolutely wound roll of transfer adhesive disposed on a liner and convolutely wound about a core. The device has an applicating roller mounted in the forward portion of a housing. A tape support, rotatably mounted in the housing engages the core of the roll in an interlocking engagement and holds the axis of the core in a parallel spaced relationship to the axis of the applicating roller.
