Anti-theft gun protector apparatus is disclosed useful for the display of rifles and shotguns of varying lengths and calibers, which includes a plate member fixedly mounted to a multipart mounting box carried on a wall or other surface, a locking box slidably mounted to the plate with a resiliently urged catch therein which is normally positioned for engagement with one of a plurality of openings along the face of the plate.
