초록

Nonionic surface active anti-viral agents are described. The anti-viral agents are nonionic surfactants and are useful as inactivating agents for herpes simplex.

A method of inactivating herpes simplex virus infectivity in humans which comprises applying to the affected area an effective amount for treating herpes simplex virus of a nonionic surfactant in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, said nonionic surfactant having at least one ether linkage.
