A wine fermentation tank includes a generally cylindrical outer tank with a top opening through which crushed grapes may be added to the tank. The bottom of the tank has a frusto-conical shape with a door and a fluid discharge tube at the lower apex of the tank bottom. A concentric screen fits within the tank to retain the crushed grapes and define a narrow annular space between the tank and screen.
