A method of forming a laminate composed of a solid polyester lamina bonded to a block. A block having a matrix composed of polyurethane foam and particles of expanded polystyrene distributed therein is prepared. A layer composed of a solution of a relatively unpolymerized polyester in styrene solvent with fiberglass embedded therein is placed in contact with a surface of the block.
