An antacid piece consisting essentially of a center portion and an outer portion surrounding said center portion, said center portion consisting essentially of an antacid in the form of a liquid, cream or gel, and optionally a flavorant to mask the grittiness of the antacid and enhance the textural qualities of the antacid piece, and said outer portion consisting essentially of a fat containing material comprising a chocolate which is resistant to air and moisture for protecting said center portion and masking the grittiness of the antacid.
