A composition according to claim 1, wherein the wax is microcrystalline or macrocrystalline. 3. A composition according to claim 1 suitable for providing a water resistant coating to cellulosic fibre materials, which comprises (a) 1-27 wt % of a wax present in emulsion form, (b) 2-12 wt % of a starch present in slurry form, (c) 26-50 wt % of a urea-formaldehyde resin, (d) 2-10 wt % of ethylene vinyl acetate in emulsion form, and (e) water.
