A fin system for surfboards, wind surfers or similar sporting equipment having an elongated channel extending lengthwise underneath the board. The fin is adjustable in the channel by the interaction of a resilient finger cut out of the fin base with a ribbed inner surface of the channel. The fin is totally removable from the channel, and when inserted, moves along the channel by pressure applied to the base of the fin.
