Each lateral part (1) comprises a core element (2) with a supporting column (6) from which a leg part (5) and a supporting arm (7) protrude. The core element (2) is provided with recesses (9,10,11) which are at least partly sealed by the cover means (3,4,16). The office furniture item is appropriate for the working station design in modular design. Signal cables and electrical conduits can be inserted at any time without any problem.
