The device is a log support, consisting essentially of a hollow, elongated, rectangular box constructed of iron, the box being open at both ends, having a plurality of openings in its top, a plurality of openings in its bottom, and a plurality of openings in each of its sides, and having means on its top surface for preventing a round log from rolling off the box.
