For reducing wear of the annular seal (48) arranged at the master cylinder piston (5) and susceptibility of the valve (51) to dirt, an annular member (50) lying opposite to the annular surface (18) includes an axial channel (49) connectable with the reservoir (11). A resiliently preloaded sealing member (61) is supported at the port of the axial channel (49) and is adapted to lift from the port due to displacement of the master cylinder piston (5).
