The problem of hose breakdown in the field is solved by a hand-held crimping tool according to the present invention. The crimping tool disclosed has a frame with two leg portions projecting out from the ends. A crimping die roller including two arcuate ridges separated by an arcuate groove co-operates with two spaced rollers that move with a carriage.
