A door latch assembly is disclosed for unlatching and opening a door in one motion. The assembly comprises a housing adapted to be mounted on a door and having a handle pivotally mounted about an axis perpendicular to the direction the door opens. A cam driver having a cam surface is fixed to the handle so that the cam driver will pivot with the handle.
