A flexible container of bread slices has bellows-like foldable longitudinal sides, having a closed end and an open end. It is located within a somewhat larger casing provided with a closable lid, an open end of the flexible container being effectively sealable by a flexible soft cushion mounted to an inside surface of the lid of the outer casing.
