A highly concentrated alkaline solution is formed by combining potassium hydroxide (KOH) with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) so that an alkaline drinking water may be formulated. One part of concentrated alkaline additive solution is diluted with several parts of distilled water in a one ounce mixture. The additive is further characterized by combining potassium hydroxide with sodium hydroxide in a range of about 95% potassium hydroxide and 5% sodium hydroxide to about 50% potassium hydroxide to about 50% sodium hydroxide.
