A novel exercise system is disclosed which is especially useful for effectively exercising the musculature of the upper body while simultaneously performing a lower body aerobic activity. The system includes a belt, a variety of elastic cords and a variety of hand grips, ankle straps and foot straps. Variable resistance is provided by an elastic cord which is free to slide about the user\s waist.
