The gas-containing sleeve abuts with its casing part, for example, only on four rounded-off edges of the square valve end, while the casing part surrounds the surfaces of the valve end with a radial clearance, so that gas interspaces are formed in between for supplying gas. The injection device is particularly suited for injecting a fuel-gas mixture into the intake manifold of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine having externally supplied ignition.
