An animal litter box is disclosed for automatically separating waste materials from animal litter. A rotating cylinder is provided with an internal surface for receiving the animal litter and waste materials. A perforated surface has one end fixed to the internal surface of the rotating cylinder so that as the cylinder is rotated, the animal litter and waste materials fall onto the perforated surface.
