The adapter extends the wheel mounting for the skateboard some distance from the peripheral edge of the platform of the skateboard. A substantially larger wheel can then be utilized in conjunction with the skateboard facilitating usage of the skateboard within terrain other than hard surface terrain such as grass and dirt.
