A compressed gas cylinder container useable to protect the gas cylinder from impact and from exterior contaminants is disclosed. The container includes a lower spacer for positioning within an inner portion of the container and shaped to form a space between a lower end of a compressed gas cylinder and an inner portion of a bottom end of the container.
